We have officially concluded our DOGS Summer 2014 pre-sale period, and although we were SIX shirts shy of our personal goal we consider it a huge success. We received donations from 18 different states: AK, AL, CA, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, NC, NJ, NV, MD, MO, OK, PA, TN, TX and VA; and are truly humbled by the love and support y’all have shown us. Thank you very much to all of our friends and fans. We can only do it with your help and we do it all for you!!! A special thanks comes from my dachshund pack: Rufus, Emily and Lily. Battle of the tee shirt designs

It’s not a real battle, but in my mind it’s always fun to see which designs are the most popular among our dachshund friends. After being tied for a few days, our smooth design currently reigns supreme. Following not too far behind is our longhair shirt and finishing last is our wirehair option. Longhair dachshund friends

Hello dachshund friends. Today is a longhair dachshund day featuring two of my favorites Tasha and Ryker. Both are rescues from DRLA and it’s awesome to see them thriving in their pack.

Only THREE days left to pre-order your DOGS Summer 2014 tee. The response to this installment of shirts has been very favorable, and as of yesterday the smooth design (Rufus) took first place. We set a personal benchmark for ourselves to sell 100 shirts in one week; and we’re happy to announce we’re three quarters of the way there. Yippee. The shirts are a great gift idea for Mother’s Days, recent grads and/or Father’s Day. The shirts don’t actually arrive until early June for distribution worldwide, but ordering now saves you money. Once the shirts land at DOGS’ headquarters in early June, they’ll return to their normal price point of $40 each. Don’t delay, I’m placing our order with the manufacturer on Sunday. Smooth dachshund friends

Today is a smooth dachshund day featuring our one and only Emily Sue. Isn’t she simply lovely?! On another note, thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered their DOGS Summer 2014 tees. Your support always humbles me. The new wirehair option is something many said they wanted, but it seems like the smooth and longhair options are tied for first in the popularity race. Our smooth dachshund shirts always do well, and since it’s the most liked coat type among dachshund fans, we’re not terribly surprised. Also, we absolutely must do a quick public shout out of thanks to the great state of North Carolina where our shirts seem to be all the rage – thank you North Carolinians you’re leading the way in most pre-order donations. Second place is tied between Georgia, Alabama and California, and in truth 11 great states in our union are fans of the shirts and we’re truly honored by your support. Wirehair dachshund friends

Hello dachshund friends! It’s a wirehair day featuring Sammy and Sophie. Sammy and Sophie are considered soft-wirehair dachshunds (I believe). For me, wirehair dachshunds have an unique range in appearance because their look is so dramatically affected by their humans’ grooming choices. Some people strip them while others let their wirehairs grow wild and even others choose to buzz their coats. What do you think of the wirehair dachshund?! It is with great pleasure that we’re able to debut our DOGS Summer 2014 T-shirt designs. As promised, with our third installment we’re now offering a wirehair edition: Joey in black. Additionally, all other previous designs have been retired and we’re releasing two new designs: Rufus in LA Dodger’s royal blue and white for our smooth option and Sophie the longhair in navy and grey.

We know the internet is saturated with t-shirts, and the key difference between ours and theirs is… our designs are original, limited edition, collectible, wearable art. Our shirts are produced and manufactured in the USA and are the brainchild of two artists: me and pet photographer Kristin Adams (of Colorado). Most importantly, you’re not buying a shirt but making a tax-deductible donation, and in exchange for your premium donation, as our thanks, you get a tee (or two).

We’re not interested in stowing a lot of inventory so our friends and fans have ONE WEEK from today to pre-order (at a discount donation price point) the shirts of their choice. After the one week, the shirts will be ordered and will arrive in 30 days for distribution worldwide. We usually ask for a $40 donation per shirt, but anyone ordering in advance can have theirs for $35. Order multiple shirts and save more: 1 for $35, 2 for $50 and 3 for $70. If you want a shirt we encourage you to order now. At this time we’re undecided if we’ll order any extras for sale after this one-week period.

Final note: there was lots of requests for 3XL. We didn’t offer this size last time because it cost more; however, if you want a 3XL shirt it can be yours for $4 more ($39). I will only order 3XL for those who pre-order because of the extra expenses associated.

If you fail to do so during the Paypal transaction simply email me afterwards. The donation price point includes 2-day UPS shipping on all orders. Big personality

Anyone who has ever known and loved a dachshund, knows they are small dogs with big personalities. I believe today’s pictures are evidence of that fact. Dachshunds tend not to see themselves as small, vulnerable dogs, but more like kings and queens of all things before them. Luckily for us, many of the big dogs we’ve encountered to date are too happy to yield to the dachshund. I leash them anytime I think some other dog (or being) may have another opinion.
