Emily is about 2 and a half years old, and today she had her first anesthetic teeth cleaning. I’m thrilled to announce she did great! What was extremely comforting for me, was our vet and his transparency. He gave me a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility while reviewing the step-by-step process. He really helped to put my mind at ease. They did blood work, took radiographs, scaled and polished the teeth. Best of all, no extractions were required. Emily will be home within the hour. Today’s featured photos are of Emily from last week’s beach excursion (we go weekly) enjoying life to fullest. Have a wonderful day dachshund friends and remember to get your dachshunds’ teeth cleaned at least once a year if you can. Rufus got his cleaned in December 2013, and now Emily got hers. Lily won’t need a cleaning until she’s 2 or older.

  2. Sounds like you have one great vet!
