Last week we had friend and family visiting from out of town, which meant we got a chance to play tour guide. We hiked with our friend in the beginning of the week and enjoyed a sunset walk on the beach by the week’s end with family. It was a fun and full week, and I think we’re just now fully recovered from all of it. Enjoy the pictures. And remember, if you’re looking for some last-minute gift ideas, consider these fab dachshund centric, limited edition goodies.
One week ago today we closed our 2nd Annual 2-day Dachshund Fine Art Photography exhibit. The event was a huge success and we’re so grateful for all the love and support our friends offered. The countdown to our 2nd Annual Dachshund Fine Art Photography Exhibit has begun. It’s only two short days away and we’re busy bees here attending to all the last minute details. Rufus, Emily and Lily are super excited to meet and greet their friends throughout the two-day event so… if you’re local to Southern California please join us. All are welcome. And if you’re not nearby, please stay tuned, and we’ll be certain to share photos, videos and varied opportunities for you friends (near and far) to get your very own keepsakes from the gallery show. Super excited to share more in the days ahead, and until then, enjoy these teasers.
In these featured photos, I imagine the three amigos saying, “Is it time yet?! Can we go!? Is it opening day yet?!!” Much like an excited child waiting for Christmas’ arrival. Ha!
Happy, happy Thanksgiving friends! We also want to wish a very Happy Birthday to our sweet Emily Sue. She turned four years old on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015. For the last two days we have simply taken it easy, relaxed and lounged around the house. We hope you and yours are having an equally wonderful long weekend with extended family and friends. I think many of us have much to be thankful for, and in my family we’re especially thankful for the three handsome hounds: Rufus, Emily Sue and Lily Blossom.
Remember friends to please take advantage the Blade+Blue and DOGS promo; it runs through the end of the weekend and we appreciate all the support. In lieu of any gifts or cards for Emily, she suggest you buy a mug (or anything really from Blade+Blue) for yourself or one you love. Thank you!
Friends, the infamous Black Friday is fast approaching but why wait to shop and save when you can do it now AND do it from the convenience of your computer, tablet or smartphone!??! For the second time, we’re partnering with our pals at Blade + Blue. We’re huge fans of their men’s clothing line with their cute Gavin dachshund logo apparel. And now, just in time for the holiday gifting season, we’re collectively able to offer you a unique collectible ceramic faux bois dachshund mug. For each mug purchased using the promo code DOGS – you’ll save an additional 10% on top of the current sale AND our charity DOGS will receive $10 for each mug sold. Wow. That’s really a win win situation.
The DOGS promo code will also entitle you to 10% off the entire order at checkout, should you decide to pick up a few other things – like a cute polo, cardigan, sweater or new pair of boxers, all of which showcase that darling dachshund logo. AND RIGHT NOW, the entire website is on sale ALL WEEK LONG! Remember, the DOGS’ promo code get you an EXTRA 10% OFF and each mug sold gets us $10!!! We’re so excited we could just pee.
It’s a perfect occasion to get a jumpstart on the holidaying shopping while being philanthropic. Many thanks in advance for the consideration and continued support. Please be certain to share so no one misses out; the week will be gone before you know it.
We meet Bailey back in 2009 (I believe) and first photographed him in 2010. He is such a handsome piebald dachshund and in the years since his pack has expanded to include Bertie and Dexter two rescue mixes. When I photographed them this last August they all seem to get along great and bring their own personalities to the pack dynamic. Proof is in the pictures. Check them out friends. Don’t they make handsome family.
Late last night we bought Adele’s newest album – 25, and have been listening to it all night and all day long. Not surprisingly the dachshunds really seem to enjoy the melancholy ballads. We usually have music playing at the house most of the time. Music seems to help taper the barking, and as many of you dachshund humans already know, we need all the help we can get. This is not a sponsored post, but simply us expressing our satisfaction with our recent purchase. Adele’s new album 25 naturally has lots of fans, and now she can count three more sausage hounds to that long list. Enjoy the photos friends, and let us know if your hounds have a favorite album or song.
So, we get varied weather alerts on our phone, and this afternoon we got word that Winter Storm Bella was bringing the first snow of the season to parts of the midwest. After the message was received, I looked at the pups and said out loud that we have to go the beach. We have do it, I said again in louder and more assertive voice. I said, “if not for ourselves, we have to do it for all of our friends in the midwest who can’t and wish they could.” So that’s what did today. My hounds and I enjoy a very lovely November sunset at the beach. Wish you could have all be there with us; it was truly majesty and wonderful. Stay warm friends.
Today my pack and I took the afternoon off to have a little fun together; we visited one of our favorite places – the beach. It was a gorgeous day for it here in warm and sunny Southern California. Hope you and yours are equally well. The video is of Emily being totally obsessed with a heron; she’s real ornithologist. Enjoy.
Hi friends. We’re in a doxie frenzy here preparing for our forthcoming 2nd Annual Dachshund Fine Art Photographyexhibit. I’ve been editing like madman and making the hard decision of which images to showcase. With some many cute faces it’s never easy. Among those featured hounds will these wirehair delights. What do you think friends?! Are they worthy?!? I personally can’t get enough of them. They’re so stinking cute. Okay. Enjoy the photos.
