Returning to our tribute to the longhairs, we’re showcasing Isabella Rose Soll or Bella for short. Before there was Emily, our own personal smooth black and tan, there was this black and tan longhair sweetie. We met Bella at a dog park in 2011 and photographed her later that same year. She was three at the time of the photo. Absolutely adorable.

We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to bring you these two darling doxies in need of a forever home. The only thing better than rescuing one dachshund is rescuing two. This adorable black and tan smooth pair is up for adoption. In addition to the photos featured here, you can see more of the duo via a special Flickr slideshow. Any interested parties should complete an application at Dachshund Rescue & Placement. I believe the two are under a year old, already housebroken and just as sweet as can be. It blows my mind that they were surrendered to a shelter. They are gorgeous and seemed to have a level temperament at the time of the photos. Please forward and cross post at will.

Puppy time. Here are few more beauty shots of the adorable Sophie’s puppies. They were only 6 weeks old when I last visited but already they’re developing their own personalities. Here are a few of the extroverts that really gravitate to the camera.

My better half came to my desk yesterday and requested that I take a picture of his dachshunds on his favorite leather chair. Part of any happy relationship is one’s ability to simply say yes. I added it to my list of things to do and as the day came to a close, I setup the lights, did a few test shots and here are the end results. I have to admit they came out pretty good for an impromptu photo shoot; I personally love how comfortable Emily is getting in front of the camera.
