Today was our re-scheduled Ojai Doxies Meetup and it was a wonderfully fun day for it. We had 10 dachshunds and their humans turn out for our small city. We also had lots of other small breed dogs come by and say hi.
There are several things I love about these meetups, but let me just quickly share my top two. First, I love it when people bring their not very well-socialized dachshunds and approach with caution and trepidation, but leave smiling because we collectively provided a safe, welcoming and supporting environment for both dachshunds and humans. I also love that our meetups often yield a very diverse group of humans which for me is very reflective of our diverse breed. I love it when these meetups bring folks from all walks of life together for a few hours. Proof is in the pictures.
For me it’s always a good time when hanging with our sausage hounds. Enjoy the photos friends.

We would love to come to your next Doxy meet up. We live in East Ventura. We are on our third and fourth doxies now and will probably not have anything but doxies. They are the very best. Right now we have a wirehaired and a long-haired dapple black and tan. Any information you could send me on these meet ups would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Jan

I guess the doxie meet up was changed, Cause only two doxies where there today Lexi and Lulu. Of anyone has info on the changed dates please let us know. Both of us were new to the meet up.
