After feeling sickly yesterday it was wonderful to wake up today feeling better. In case you didn’t know it, we belong to two different meetup groups: LA Doxies and Ojai Doxies. LA Doxies (as you can imagine) is group that has been around for a long time and its meetups can be rather grand with 25-50 dogs in attendance, which can be kind of epic. I love it when we flood the park with our sausage hounds and take over for a few hours.

However, today was our Ojai Doxies’ meetup (which was a makeup meetup from being rained out last weekend), and what I love about this intimate group is its sweet, small size. I adore the big LA meetups – which are truly a fun spectacle to experience, and I love these smaller gatherings. It’s really the best of both worlds for my hounds and me. Today’s meetup had 12 dogs (10 dachshunds and 2 mixes) and their humans. It was a beautiful morning, and we always love seeing our friends.
