Everyone is always asking about my dachshunds’ dog beds. We have 7 beds and a crate, but my dachshunds love their snuggle sacks or trundle beds. They super soft faux fur beds that can be used bunched up as a nest, laid out like a tunnel or stretched flat like a mat. We even takes these beds in the car for long road trips. These beds are great for our burrowing dachshunds. The grey faux fur bed is by Tiger Dreamz and the other two buggle snuggle beds are by Jackrocketwear. I love the Jackrocketwear beds, because although they’re a little more expensive than the typical bed, they’re also nicer. They’re bigger so they’re perfect for two dachshunds to share and they’re reversible with two different looks and patterns. A good dog bed goes a long way because it’s in our home and in our car so I recommend investing in something that you both will like. These beds are machine washable and hang dry. My Gretchen told me that she likes sharing MY bed just fine. I keep a blanket for her on my bed that she tunnels under or rolls onto. Suzanne
Funny story… I got a cave style bed for Davy Jones. He investigated it… then he attacked it. Just before he attacked it, he gave me the “Oh NO you are NOT kicking me out of the big bed and making me sleep in that thing down where all the other dogs sleep near the ground… NUH UH!!”. Then he used his nose to keep flipping it and rolling it until it was clear out of the room and down the hallway. I swear it is a true story I tell you!! And… It had nothing do to with the bed (they are really nice and cozy!!) and everything to do with my bossy doxie! But the Chi/MiniPinch who also lives here loves it and so it all worked out. 🙂
I must add that I was shocked that he didn’t love the snuggle bed, since he is a world class burrower and is happy as long as he has a blanket to hide in. I think it was more that he knew right away that he couldn’t sleep in both beds at once!! Doxies are smarties!
