Rufus dares to ask the question, “Do we have to get up today?!” I really don’t pressure my dachshunds to do things they don’t want to do – especially my favorite Rufus. At nearly 10 years old he has earned the right. This morning we went for our regular hike. Emily and Lily both got out of the bed this morning willing and eager to go, but Rufus decided to stay buried under the blankets so we left him behind with dad. Some days we all just need to sleep in and be lazy. With the temperature dropping and the arrival of some drizzle, today is turning out to be a perfect day to be lazily curled up in a warm and fuzzy dog bed. Have a wonderful day dachshund friends.

Rufus is my favorite to and he has earned the right to stay in once and awhile. I love him so much. He is adoreable!! Did not know he is almost 10. When is his birthday? Give him a hug and kiss from me.
Rufus will be in 10 in August.
