Rescue doxie alert

This past Sunday during our monthly LA DOXIES meetup in Simi Valley, this poor little doxie was surrendered to our resident rescue person. So sad that his human could just take him to a park and leave him. Luckily he was entrusted to a great group of dachshund enthusiasts. He is currently being foster by one of our members and his adoption is being overseen by Dachshund Rescue & Placement. Please cross post. To see a special Flickr slideshow click here. Wiener Wednesday

Presenting hot dog regulars Milo, Emily and Rufus. I’m not generally a fan of special effects or cool photoshop tricks, but I have recently been playing with this posterize feature. What do you think? I like it because I speculate that some of the images might transfer well to a canvass wrap, poster or postcard.

Emily’s first collar

Celebrating another one of Emily’s first. When you get a puppy you often buy a temp nylon collar until the puppy grows a little before incurring the expense of something more substantial. Well, Emily had finally outgrown her puppy collar. Saturday, as I was running errands in downtown Los Angeles, I stopped by one of our favorite pet stores in the area: Pussy & Pooch. I found this precious collar by California based company LuxeMutt. Made of leather with a touch of femininity, it’s simply adorable!
