If you enjoy the companionship of a canine, you know it’s truly unparalleled to anything else. If you happen to enjoy the affections of the low-riding hound dog we call the dachshund, it’s especially a unique kind of love. It takes a special kind of human to really appreciate the stubborn, independent thinking, going-to-do-it-his-way-on-his-own-time type of dog. But once we’re smitten with them, we know no other dog will ever do for us. It’s a little silly to celebrate National Dog Day, because in a dachshund home, every day is dog day!
