Playing fetch

A few weekends ago we met this darling smooth black and tan dachshund at the dog park. Regrettably I can’t recall his name, but I do remember this guy was an IVDD survivor and 10 years or older. I mention that because it’s obvious from the pictures that this little man is truly like the little engine that could. The visible scar from the back surgery was the only indication that hound was once down. This is what I love about the breed; they take a lick and keep ticking. This darling doxie, despite his past, was full of life and living for the game of fetch. I think our dachshunds can teach us a lot about seizing each day for what it is; a blessing. Make it a great day dachshund friends!
