Today starts IVDD Awareness Month and our friends at Dodger’s List (the leading authority in the care and treatment of IVDD) need our help. They want us to know the facts, and luckily for us they have compiled some simple, concise brochures for our review. The best part, if you have made a donation to DOGS in the last four months – gotten a T-shirt or book, you already have the brochure. The folks at Dodger’s List not only want you to read the material, but to then pass it along to a friend so they know the facts. The point: via our grass-root efforts we want to educate our fellow doxie friends. They especially want us to hand out brochures to local vets since many continue to unnecessarily put dogs to sleep with IVDD, and it doesn’t have to be that way. This is only the beginning of the month-long discussion. I’ll continue offer some fun facts throughout July. I’m also in route to drop off the 2013 raffle winners’ prize packages – which include brochures from Dodger’s List. However, you can always order yours by clicking here. Remember knowledge is power and when we know better, we do better.
