Today we publicly say goodbye to a friend: Buddy, the black and tan smooth dachshund that inspired the fame and stylish harness of the same name – Buddy-Belts. Our wirehair friends Asta and Fritz have been longtime fans of the harness and at Rufus’ 10th birthday bash, we finally got ours. We love the harnesses and think they look great and work well for our little wiggle butts. I love to have options when taking the furkids out and the buddy-belt harness is one more choice we have available to us. I do like that the harnesses allow more of our dachshunds’ natural coat to show. They’re fashionable and functional which are two of my favorite things. Rufus is wearing a marine blue, Emily in a deep plum and Lily in a hot pink. . They do offer matching leashes, but since we’re always alternating between harnesses and collars, I elected to go with a classic black leather. We plan to feature the harnesses again in the future, and each time we wear ours we will fondly remember our Canadian friend Buddy. Thank you Buddy for the indelible contribution to our long-bodied, short-legged community. Rest in peace friend and peace be with your surviving family.

So sorry about Buddy. Rip little fellow. It is so hard to lose our pets. They are a part of the family. Rufus, Lily and Emily are so cute.

My heart is broken. I am so sorry. He is now in the rainbow bridge with no pain and playing with his friends. We are going to miss him. Love you my beautiful angel
