Today’s dachshund tip: when in doubt, leash your dachshund for his safety and your peace of mind. I frequently visit many off-leash venues, but we almost always start off on-leash until I’m fully able to assess the environment and feel comfortable letting my darling dachshunds off leash – especially at public beaches. Safety first dachshunds friends. Enjoy the photos.

Good advice!
Good advice for all dogs. Safety first!
I would love to know what beaches you are allowed to bring dogs to. I have an unbelievably odd one year old dachshund and have been trying to get her out and work on her being less fearful of everything. I actually think she’d enjoy the beach but am not sure where dogs are allowed.
