We got some serious rain in Southern California today, and as many of you already know, dachshunds (especially mine) are not fans of water falling from the sky. The top photo is them looking outside curiously, like what is that stuff and why is it so wet!??! So of course, we had to play that game where we patiently wait for a break in the rain and hurry outside to get everyone to go potty. Thankfully we had no accidents inside today and even managed to grab a few fun shots while on rain patrol. More rain is expected so wish us luck.

One of our doxies (now across the rainbow bridge) used to stick his nose out after the garage door was going up and if it was raining, looked like it had rained(puddles on the drive way) or that it might rain, he would spin on a dime and charge back into the house.
But I guess if my hind end was so close to the ground I wouldn’t be too pleased either. You gotta love them. LOL!!

I just love seeing Rufus,Lilly & Emily & what there up to. I have two short hair Jackson & Sissy, There sister & brother & they turn 9yrs old Jan 12th & of course there spoiled.
Jackson & Saissy says Hello
always stylin!!!!!
Have two luvly dachsies. One brown (10 yrs) and the other black and tan (2 yrs). Max and Poppy. Know all about the rain and how much the black one absolutely detests it. Completely in agreement with waiting for the one minute of fine weather and physically have to lift her from under the blanket on chair and put her out. Love following pursuits of Rufus, Lilly and Emily. Just in love with the breed. Dachsie fan from Ireland.
My late great smooth standard girl hated the rain. She learned to go out and hide under the gigantic hosta plant—the huge leaves were like umbrellas! My two current dachsies are standard longhairs, and both of them don’t care what the weather is doing. They’ve happily gone on a mile-long walk in driving rain when it was in the 40s. Snow? Love it! Really cold? Don’t care! I can’t get them to wear coats, they tell me they can’t move if they’re wearing clothes. They never cease to amaze me.
Such cute pictures. I remember my Shylo was reluctant to go out into the rain late night before bed when it was rainy.
