Hip hip hooray! We’re celebrating our 1,000th entry today on dachshund funday Sunday. For almost three years now, we have strived to entertain and educate our dachshund community via our shared personal experiences. We attempt to motivate and inspire our fellow dachshund people to get out and about with their low-riding hounds and try new things together. We love the breed and the humans that call these canines family.

Today’s featured photos are of Rufus, Emily and Lily getting a bath after today’s dust bowl meetup in LA. The meetup was fun with about 45 dachshunds and their humans, but the Santa Ana winds were strong this afternoon. We all returned home covered in dust and dirt, but it was a small price to pay for a brilliant afternoon with friends. Proof is in the picture.

I love the way they all get along. Such a great pack. Makes my heart feel good to see 2 of my previous rescues living such a happy loving lives. Hugs and kisses to Emily and Lily and, of course, the one and only Rufus.
