It’s Dora, the explorer. Everyone really liked the all black smooth dachshund Molly so I thought we’d share another all black smooth dachshund: Dora. I remember someone saying they’re rare (which is something many like to say despite any validity to it) and I have been lucky enough to photograph three: Rex, Dora and Molly. Have you ever seen an all black dachshund in real life?! Enjoy dachshund friends and have a great one.

All black is a bit unusual, I’ve never seen one except in your pictures! My 5 month old Chester is almost all black. He’s half dachshund & half yorkie (my daughter calls him a ‘dorkie’). As a full doxie he would have been black & tan, but the parts that would have been tan are brindle! Otherwise, he’s all doxie in looks & personality. Such a fun little guy!

I had two! Dixie was the mom (she passed 3 weeks ago) and Ebony is her daughter! She will be 9 years old in December.
