I love it when I catch our dachshunds looking up. The breed is notorious for keeping its head and nose close to the ground. I believe it was a squirrel or bird that caught Lily and Rufus’ attention this afternoon. Whether their noses are to the ground or up in the trees, dachshunds are hunters and I do enjoy watching them do what comes natural. How about you!? Do your dachshunds exhibit signs of their hunter ancestry?!

When it comes to hunting, the only things that seem to interest Izzy are those little white moths that fly up out of the grass. He’ll walk past squirrels, chipmunks, moles and ducks, but a little white moth crosses his path and he’s all over it with a vengeance!! Does that even count as hunting: LOL.

Your dogs, on the other hand, seem to have the hunting thing down 🙂
