Your lovely Rufus seems a bit older than Emily & Lily. Can I ask how old he was when you got the next? We used to have a basset hound that passed 2 years ago and we’re starting to consider another dog. I have a nearly 9 year old male dachshund that I think could use a companion but am worried about how he’ll take it.
Rufus is 9. He’ll be 10 this year. The younger girls keep Rufus young at heart. 🙂 To ensure the girls and Rufus got along nicely, I got two girls that are super submissive so Rufus’ alpha status is not challenged.
Rufus looks so happy and enjoying himself. He is so adoreable!! I love Rufus!!
