Sunday marked Lily’s 10-day anniversary with us. She continues to blossom with my pack. Emily provides lots of opportunity for play and rough housing, while Rufus has become her favorite snuggle buddy. Like many dachshunds we all know, Lily loves to lay out in the yard and soak up the sun’s rays. Lily has also shown signs of independence. All on her own she’ll make the decision to take a nap by herself in the master bedroom on the king-size bed among its pillows. We have dog stairs and she knows how to use them at will. I believe Dachshund Rescue and Placement has received many inquires and few applications. We really try to stay out of vetting process since the decision isn’t ours to make, but we’re eager to find out who will be getting this little darling doxie. We all have grown very fond of her and hope she finds the perfect forever family soon so they can partake in some of this priceless puppyhood. Paws crossed for some good news in the days ahead.

Sooooo adorable!! Obviously she is really coming into her own, and it is so much fun to be able to follow the log of her progress! Thanks for sharing.
Lily has grown. Her ears are longer. She is more secure and that shows when she takes naps on her own. It takes trust for a dog to do that. You have given her the space to explore and the safety to sleep in the sunshine which is a large step for puppies. I wish that everyone would raise their babies like you are doing. You are a good person and the best thing to have happened to these sweet dogs. You are a blessing for Lily.
I have great hope for Lily. She is really growing and becoming herself. Such a beautiful photo of her napping on the soft pillows. Thank you so much for all you have done. I know you will make sure Lily goes to the perfect home. I truly love Doxies and have found they are very sensitive, loving, and very smart dogs. Of course, I have one of my own that is my best friend. I look forward to your up-dates & newsletters, & of course, lots of photos! Best wishes to you, Sweet Lily Girl.~♥
She is precious! How I would love for her to become part of the family as she reminds me of my little Audrey 🙂
she is beyond precious…
