We are completing our first week sans Milo and although we miss him, it truly warms the heart to see my two doxies – Rufus and Emily, really solidify their bond these last few days. It is very entertaining to watch them chase each other all around the house only stopping to wrestle or play tug-of-war with a toy. Life with dachshunds is good.

How cute these pictures are! Emily will keep Rufus on his toes for sure! Do they converse when they play like this? Our male Schnitzel has quite a lot of instructions for Vienna while they are rolling around…He repeats them over and over. Especially when he is done playing and she wants to continue. If his brother, Soby (same litter male) tries to join in He actually say “Noooooo” in a deep growly voice and continues to (what seems to us) give him a verbal lecture about who knows what. It is extremely entertaining to us!
Wonderful pictures! You can really see such sweet, playful mischief here and a real bond between these adorable dogs!
