This Sunday it was a torrential downpour in Los Angeles and Emily’s first. Living in Southern California rain comes sparingly, thankfully. Yesterday the rain was constant, and Angeleno doxies reject the notion that they must go outside when it’s wet. So we waited and waited for a break in the storm. When it finally came late afternoon we raced to the grass and Emily tried on Rufus’ rain poncho. It was naturally too big for her, but made for a fun sight nonetheless. Proof is in the picture.

your dogs are adorable…but that Emily! do you carry her around all the time? I would want to carry her always! what a face!
Thank you! Emily is doll. We do carry her often and she’s a real lap doxie, but… she also enjoys walking, running, playing chase and rough housing with her brother Rufus. She’s still a dachshund afterall. 🙂
