June 1st begins the countdown to my birthday which happens to be June 29th. I usually spend the next 28 days reflecting on the pervious year; like what I’ve learned, where I’ve succeed and the areas I could use some improvement. I also use the occasion to articulate any new aims I might have for this new year of life.  🙂  It’s a process for me, and I’m just starting it, but I thought it might be fun to to bring you all along for the journey since much of it will include the dachshund pack #threeamigos, our photography #doxierazzie and videography #doxiecam.

In addition to all the cerebral consideration, this is also a chance to celebrate life (my life especially) and have fun. I couldn’t imagine a better way to start the month than a day in the sun, sand and surf. If you’ve been following for any length of time, you know my pack and I are totally beach bums. #DachshundBaywatch

However, some of you might not know, that June is typically a gloomy month for us in Southern California. Yep. The weather can really be hit or miss, but thankfully, today was picture perfect. It was truly a goldilock day: not too hot, not too cold but just right. Even the normally cold Pacific Ocean was warm and refreshing today. What a gift it was.
