Nothing to see here, just a black and tan and red smooth out for a leisurely stroll. This is Rufus and Myfanwy from July 2012. I love the pairing of a red and black and tan. What’s your favorite pairing?! Do you like bookends?! Like two reds or two black and tans or do you like a mix of color and coat type?! Inquiring dachshund humans want to know.

Black & Tan smooths were always my one & only, but a blue & red long hair & black/tan & sliver long hair dapple chose me!!
I always preferred red smooths because I thought you could see their expressions better, and then I met Izzy. I had taken him without even seeing him…his situation was rather sad. A family with 2 kids, 3 big dogs and a new baby. They had him for 3 weeks and realized they just didn’t have time for him and posted an ad on the bulletin board at the grocery store. When I saw him, he was the most beautiful little ween I had ever laid eyes on. All dachshunds are beautiful, but right now I’m sure loving my little black and tan smooth 🙂
