We recently hosted Gerogie, the gentle giant. We call him that because at a solid 17 pounds he quickly dwarfs my dachshund pack of miniatures. For perspective Lily and Georgie are roughly the same age. Lily was weighed last week during our monthly maintenance visit to the vet (nails, anal glands, flea medicine application, etc) and she is a whopping 7 pounds at an estimated 10 months now. Georgie is really submissive though and quickly yields to whomever – dachshund or human. Out of my pack Lily and Georgie got along the best – probably because they’re most similar in age and energy, but she totally dominated him. It was fun to see, and I’m glad they enjoyed each other’s company. Lily truly likes other small dogs more than other humans (at the moment); Emily was the same way at her age. Enjoy the pictures and stay tune for more of Georgie this week.

Georgie is one handsome boy! I laughed at the first picture, Georgie is so much bigger that he looks like he was photoshopped in 🙂 He riminds me of a red doxie my parents had years ago, Honey. Honey topped out at 30 lbs. (all muscle, no fat), she was a character and was definitely alpha dog over my parent’s miniatures!
