Wednesday we showed visiting friends our favorite beach, but Tuesday Rufus and I showed another out-of-towner friend our favorite hiking trail: Shelf Road. I think these photos are especially sweet because in the top photo you see Rufus getting a kiss and in the bottom one Rufus has a big grin. I imagine the smirk is a result of his recent kiss from a pretty lady. I really enjoy and appreciate those friendships by folks who genuinely try to include my dachshunds. On both Tuesday and Wednesday, our friends were super dachshund friendly in our local excursions and that meant a lot to me.
