Fun with dachshunds

Someone jokingly asked if I have fun with my dachshunds on the Facebook yesterday. The question was rhetorical, but I have to proudly admit I have fun with my dachshunds every single day. Proof is in the pictures. They make me laugh and their willingness (and eagerness) to do anything I ask cracks me up. As of late Rufus and Emily will do just about anything – wear antlers, hats and so much more. Lily is getting more curious and amiable to the idea of being a doxie supermodel, but still needs a little practice. Luckily we have all the time in the world. Enjoy the fruits of fun doxie friends. Only 8 days until Christmas.

    • A day or two before Thanksgiving I was in a Target store in Ventura picking up some household incidentals and happened to see this gem of a hat. It was the only one they had. I have since been back to a few different Targets in the area but to no avail; I haven’t found (or seen) another. And that’s the story of how the hat came to be in our possession. One hat is great, but with multiple doxies, I like to buy in pairs (at least). Thanks for asking. Someone on Facebook said they saw a similar one at TJ Maxx (I think). Good luck and if you find one, be certain to share your pics on our DOGS Facebook page.

    they are so patient!!!!!!!

    • They really are great models and Emily has truly blossomed this last year. Very impressed with them both – Rufus and Emily, and now it’s time to work with Lily. Getting her comfortable with the family profession while also ensuring it’s FUN for her. Lots of positive experiences is how I do it (and with a lot of patience).
