Theodore, the black and tan piebald, lives in Colorado full time and visits California regularly with his human. His human comes back to California routinely to visit her parents who recently rescued Lucy, the piebald brindle, from the Human Society of Ventura County. I got to meet both dachshunds Wednesday and Thursday and just couldn’t wait to photograph them. Both doxies are well socialized and got along smashingly with my pack. I believe this is my first official play date and pictures where I actually captured some studio style portraits, and it felt great to be back behind the lights and camera. I’d normally take a few days to properly edit before sharing, but I was so excited I rushed to do a quick set. Please expect to see more of these darling doxies in the days ahead. It’s probably going to be a piebald weekend. Enjoy friends.

I have a red spotted piebald and his name is Apache Windsong … we call him Mr. Spec and he is adorable. He is 5 years and recently developed a seizure disorder. He is much more loving than my other miniature black & tans. A great pet and wonderful friend.
