It’s our weekly dose of doxie rescue. Please meet Gideon, the smooth black and tan dapple. Dachshund Rescue of Los Angeles generally champions the sick, old and ugly dachshunds; those that no one else wants or believes will not adopt quickly or easily. So, it was refreshing Tuesday when I met Gideon. He is absolutely gorgeous with his distinct dapple markings, trim waistline and happy-go-lucky personality. I predict this pup won’t be homeless long. Anyone in Southern California interested please contact DRLA at 310 857-0086, email dachshundrescueoflosangeles@gmail.com or message Dachshund Rescue of Los Angeles on Facebook. Please share. Thank you! Remember if you can’t adopt, foster. If you can’t foster, volunteer. If you can’t volunteer, donate.

  4. Mark Pearce says:

Has he been adopted yet ?

  5. I recently adopted a rescue dachshund myself. Her front feet are a mess….they point out and look awfully uncomfortable. I took her to my Vet. He said backyard BAD breeding. That’s a real shocker huh ? She is almost 6 years old. Our Vet said she will suffer with severe arthritis eventually. So as long as I can keep her going pain free we are into this for a lifetimes worth. ( I already had 2 doxies ).
