Rufus does enjoy his toys, and I certainly adore watching him play with them. For me, it’s like watching doxie TV. I’m a big advocate that our dachshunds only play with their toys while we – their humans – supervise them, which is why I call it doxie TV. Do you find yourselves watching doxie TV regularly!? I could watch Rufus play for hours and often do.

Love these photos! Ours play all day with theirs! We do have a special play time in the evenings before bed. Tug of war and squeaky toy time…Hoping they get the last bit of energy out before we retire! Ours also have a few BED ONLY toys that keep them occupied for a little bit before they go to sleep…A few hand puppets my husband entertains them with…Then puts in the dresser drawer or they would never go to sleep! They are definitely entertaining and we do enjoy or Doxie TV too!
Doxie tv, I love that! I never knew what to call it — my friends n family all think I’m super weird because I enjoy watching them more than going to movies or tv or shopping! More than anything really … I often speak for them — like, I can imagine what they’re saying to each other, and I interpret that “out loud” in character voices and everyone just thinks its hilarious. :-)) I think it’s a gift I have — I can do the voice over work when you decide to produce some Doxie tv!!
Take care, as always I love your posts!
Tammy Jo
Tammy Jo – I don’t see any reason why not. Just be certain the total amount of the two transactions = $135 and we should be good to go. Additionally be certain to put “Paws&Pals” in the note section so Tara and her group get proper credit. Thank you! 🙂
I’m glad you posted this! I love watch my doxie play! It’s my favorite time of every day. I often get down on the ground with him just to watch and take photos. Eventually I creep my way into his play time and we’re playing tug of war (his FAVORITE game!) and fetch. Most people just don’t understand how I could spend hours just watching my dog enjoy life. It’s a gift and a blessing to have such a loving and gentle creature in my life. How could I not watch? Another favorite is being outdoors with him. He’s so curious and excited to be out there. The energy he gives off makes me smile. Sometimes we just sit, Beanie in my lap, doing nothing together. And I’m totally content with doing just that. 🙂
Here is the video for those who couldn’t find it or see it previously. http://youtu.be/PDSA4kqFZ5I
He looks so playful and adorable!
Many dachshunds make great lap dogs. 🙂
