Another smooth black and tan dachshund named Lucy finds herself searching for her forever family. After a brief stint on Craig’s List, this pup has been successful placed in a temporary foster home. Don’t let this happen to your doxie. To learn more click here. The underweight doxie needs to gain a few pounds, and at the dog park seemed very sweet. It’s shocking that so many “sweet” dachshunds are being abandoned or given up. Lucy makes the fourth black and tan dachshund I’ve photographed this month. To see a special Lucy slideshow click here. I don’t get it. We are addicted to them! We have one seven months old and our oldest will be 15 in February.
Poor Baby… Where is she located?
Southern California.
Yes the collar is a bit too large for her frail but lovely body. We have two long haired black and tans – Benjamin and Franklin. Live in MN and they sure are not enjoyed the frigid temps this winter. Blessing go out to Lucy. I wish I could take three, but it would be a bit too many for me as I grow older each day. Praying for Lucy to find her forever home. We feed our boys BLUE Buffalo and it contiains a good deal of nutrition to help heal any issue that plaques these little babies.
What a stunning, gorgeous little doxie! Great photo’s Johnny.
lovely little girl with a collar that appears to weigh more than she . . .
my heart breaks, there have been so many needing homes lately. she is just precious & probably so confused…
So sweet!
I live in NJ, I am looking to rescue a mini Dachshund. Can you direct me/
I recommend you doing a simple google search for “dachshund rescue in NJ.” It’s hard (and expensive) for rescues to ship across country. Good luck and keep us posted on what you find. 🙂
