I’m extremely grateful that on average I spend 23 hours a day with my two dachshunds. But when I have to leave them behind, this is what I see: them looking out at me from the front window with those sweet little faces. It melts the heart. On the flip side, each time I return home I see the same thing. My little wiggle butts going crazy in the window and I think to myself, what a sweet homecoming and smile big.

AWWW…WE ARE ALSO HOME 24/7, EXCEPT FOR ERRAND AND OTHER THINGS.
OUR DOXIES ARE SO HAPPY TO SEE US…MAKES OUR DAY.
I rarely leave the house but my Husband is in & Out all day with School Bus Routes & Pizza Hut Deliveries at night. Our 3 Doxies act like he has been gone for weeks! Our Mini, Vienna grabs a squeaky toy and plays him music when he comes through the door!!! It is quite a routine 5-6 times a day! (Also the cutest thing!) He is guaranteed a big ole smile every time he comes home! ❤
Our Min. doxie “types” on the sliding door with her nails, when she sees us coming across the yard~~too cute!! She never goes upstairs to bed until I do; waits patiently on the couch until “nana” goes to bed.. I adore her..
Not able to stay home with pups (which is a killer) – agree that the coming home is much more enjoyable – but I find it endearing that no matter what the going out is for, or how long it lasts (out with the trash – 60 seconds) , their enthusiastic welcome home greeting does not vary.
The best part of having a pet is their welcome home!
mine watch for me in the window on the love seat ( which we have provided pillow ramps to get up & down to protect those pesky backs) & it never gets old seeing their adorable faces in the window. In fact, every time it is like seeing it for the first time!!
