Introducing the uber shy red smooth miniature dachshund Charlie. Charlie is a petite dachshund, who according to his current foster mom might excel best in a home as an only dog. He quickly became attached to his foster mom and even little possessive. He is clearly trying to overcome some abandonment and neglect issues, but once trust is established he is such a loving and devoted little man. He has a very sweet disposition. Beautiful animal-beautiful color!
I’m his foster mom. Charlie is just delicious. His fur is like velvet. He wraps his little paws around your neck to nuzzle your face. He gives sweet little kisses, and there’s nowhere he’d rather be than in your lap. He’s a good boy who’s eager to please. He’s sweet to everyone, but he’s a one-person devoted dog. He seems to prefer a “mommy”. He was found by Dachshund Paws emaciated at 6 lbs. With good nutrition, he’s now up to 7 1/2, and his target weight is probably 9 lbs.
Who wants to feed and love this lovely little boy??
Where is he? Very interested! I have two mini Doxis and would love to make him part of my family. I am a stay at home mom, with lots of room to run around.

Gorgeous, and very sweet-looking! If I didn’t already have a little one, I’d definitely be interested. I fail to understand how anyone could neglect such a lovely little being; he makes me want to cook for him!

Your Flicker Slide show is so Sweet! Charlie looks about 5 yrs old..He has the same look to his eyes as my rescue, Soby did when we got him. Soby also puts his arms around our necks and presses his cheek next to ours. He was abandoned daily from 7am until 5pm rain, snow or shine..I would gather him up whenever I saw him and feed him, wash him and cuddle him…So glad we finally got him as our in 2011.
