If you have admired my original photography these last 275 days, we have some great news. For the first time, a 104-page, four color processing book showcasing 102 different dachshunds is being made possible by a grant received from California Institute of Contemporary Arts (http://cica.us.com/). The book is your gift for a tax deductible donation to the 501c3 Dachshund Outreach Giving and Socialization (DOGS) of $125.
If you reserve your copy today, we’ll cover the shipping expense. This is a special, limited edition book with only 250 copies being produced worldwide. They won’t last long, so buy yours now while you still can. They will arrive at your doorstep late November, just in time for the holiday season. 102 Dachshunds makes the perfect gift to give or get for any doxieholic.
The advance sale price of $125 is only valid through Oct. 31. We accept PayPal and checks. To inquire about paying by check please email johnny@johnnyortez.com for details.

What does the charity do with the money? Does it go to a rescue organization?
We are not a rescue organization. We do partner with local rescue organizations and know many (it’s a small doxie world) but… we believe there’s a real opportunity in our community. Much emphasis in our community is placed on the rescue and placement of dogs and their end of life; therefore, neglecting all the many years in between the two stages. DOGS attempts to fill the gap by educating the dachshund loving public on matters of diet, health, regular exercise and the supreme importance of consistent socialization. DOGS will offer services like free non-anesthetic teeth cleaning clinics, training and fitness seminars and other fun socialization events to educate the devoted dachshund humans. We hope to produce a Dachshund Carnival in 2013 highlighting the aforementioned. 🙂 This year already we helped to pay 1/3 of a back surgery and organized a Thank Dog Bootcamp Dachshund Exclusive series this past September. These are the things DOGS hopes to continue to do with proper funding. Thank you for asking. ❤
