I first met Fred the longhair low-riding hound at a public dog park years ago and immediately felt sorry for the doxie with two paralyzed back legs. I then photographed him last April and learned firsthand how agile the dachshund truly was. Apparently no one told him his back legs didn’t work, because he moved throughout my house with ease and elegance. One month shy of his 17th birthday, Fred crossed over to the rainbow bridge earlier this week. We send our condolences to the family and remember Fred for the spirited doxie he was. Rest in peace Fred; I’m honored to have known you.

    • Thank you Virginia. I am published in the most recent edition of the Doxie Digest Magazine. But I am working on a few projects. I’ll update you and the whole community as things further develop. 🙂
