Bailey and his human are extremely supportive of DOGS and our work, which makes them more than fans but genuine friends. So we were saddened to hear Bailey, the adorable piebald, was experiencing some infected paw problems. We’re certain he’ll make a full recovery, but nonetheless, wanted to send a very special message of “Get Well Soon” to him and his human. It’s frustrating for everyone when our doxies are not themselves so we hope Bailey is back to 100% very soon.

Looking back at Bailey photos from 2011, I’m reminded of his playfulness. Rufus was very focused on posing for the camera while Bailey was more interested in playing. Here are a few of those outtakes from that day. Bailey is one of our featured dachshunds in the book 102 Dachshunds.

Baily is the perfect name for this cute as a bug Doxie. Licking their paws sometimes helps the injured area. When that does not work I buy Bitter Apple. It comes in a cream and spray. I tasted the spray once <—key word! I ran to the bathroom and gaged and water did not help much. I
have yet to see a dog like the taste. Sweet Baily I hope you get better soon you little rascal.
